Privacy policy

Your privacy matters to us. Here is, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Mobile number: to sign you in with an SMS code and identify your account.
• Profile details: name (optional), level, learning goal and app language.
• Your voice and writing in lessons: processed to understand, correct and score what you say or write.
• Learning data: completed lessons, scores, mistakes, words and your daily streak.
• Payment details: plan, amount, time and transaction reference. We never see or store your card number; payment happens with the bank gateway, Cafe Bazaar or Myket.
• Technical data: device and browser type, IP address and error reports, for security and troubleshooting.
• Early-access form: the number or email you enter to hear when Zabanova launches.
• Anonymous visit statistics: page views, pages, where visitors come from (for example Instagram), country and device type — without cookies and without identifying anyone. These statistics are kept on Zabanova’s own server and are not shared with any other service.

Why we use it

• To run lessons, conversations with Nova, corrections and scoring, and teacher review on Pro
• To build your learning path and daily challenge from your level and mistakes
• To send sign-in codes, reminders and important messages (you can turn reminders off)
• For support, abuse prevention and security
• To improve lesson quality and Nova’s accuracy

We do not sell your data or share it with others for advertising.

Who can access it

We use a few providers who only get the data they need:

• AI provider (OpenAI): lesson audio and text are processed for speech-to-text, Nova’s replies and scoring. This provider is outside Iran.
• Hosting: Zabanova’s servers are in Europe (Austria), and we use Cloudflare for speed and security.
• SMS: sign-in codes and messages are sent through sms.ir.
• Payments: Zarinpal, Cafe Bazaar and Myket.
• Zabanova’s teacher: only on the Pro plan, or when you report a correction, sees the relevant writing or recording.

We may disclose data to legal authorities when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Lesson audio is kept for at most 30 days, then deleted; the transcript stays for your progress reports. Recordings sent for teacher review are kept until 30 days after the review.
• Other account data is kept while your account is active.
• After you delete your account, your data is erased within 30 days, except payment records that the law requires us to keep for a period.
• Early-access form data is only used to tell you about the launch and is deleted on request.

Your rights

• View and correct your profile in the app
• Request a copy of your data from support
• Delete your account completely in the app or by emailing support
• Turn off reminders and non-essential messages

Security

Connections to Zabanova are always encrypted (HTTPS), sign-in codes are stored only in hashed form, and team access to data is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure; if you notice a problem, please tell us.

Children

Zabanova is not for children under 13. If you believe a child created an account without permission, tell us and we will delete it.

Cookies

The website only uses essential browser storage (for example for sign-in and settings). It has no advertising or tracking cookies, and visit statistics are collected anonymously without cookies.

Changes

If this policy changes in an important way, we will tell you in the app or by SMS or email.
